I am a trauma-informed advocate, nonprofit leader, and certified forest therapy guide whose work centers on fostering connection, leadership, and healing through nature. With a background spanning direct service through executive leadership in the domestic violence field, I bring deep expertise in trauma-informed practice and nature-based healing. As a lifelong nature lover, I have found a unique way to combine my skills and passion to help people live their best lives.
My guided walks help people slow down and reconnect with themselves and the natural world. My guiding style is playful and opens the door for the healing powers of nature to work their magic. I trained with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides using an approach centered on remembering our connection to the more than human world and coming back into our senses. I volunteer with several environmental conservation groups and my child's high school band boosters. I believe in the healing power of nature which led me to this practice.
After years of working in the domestic violence field and leading nonprofit organizations, Jeni reached a point of deep burnout and depression during the pandemic. But nature — and her growing connection to it — became her way back home.
