Nurturing Leadership is the part of my practice where I leverage my decades of leadership experience in the nonprofit space to support you in your own leadership journey. I hold specific expertise in trauma-informed service provision, leadership development, and nature as a healing agent. I am an accomplished speaker and trainer on the topics of trauma-informed care, domestic violence and collaborative leadership.
My practice is geared toward nonprofit senior and executive leaders with a special focus on leading in trauma-based environments. As my career has spanned from direct service to chief executive officer, I have the capacity to meet leaders where they are in their journey. My specific skill set can support you in program development, grant administration, strategic planning, leadership transitions and executive mentoring/coaching.
Full and half day experiences to fit the needs of your team include connecting with nature and customized content co-created with you to support your team's wellness goals.
Drawing on decades of trauma-informed care leadership in victim-centered work, my trainings cover basic trauma knowledge, creating trauma-informed services and being a trauma-informed organization.

Jeni created a welcoming space that allowed our staff to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with nature and each other. The experience was deeply relaxing while also encouraging quiet introspection and thoughtful conversation among colleagues.
It was a wonderful reminder that leadership and team building don’t always happen in a meeting room, they can happen
on a trail, surrounded by trees. Our team left feeling refreshed, more connected, and grateful for the opportunity to pause and grow together.
We highly recommend Jeni’s forest therapy experiences for Executive teams looking to nurture well-being, strengthen team relationships, and create space for thoughtful leadership.
